Dr Andrew Earnshaw is Head of the Scientific Secretariat of the UK Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). He has worked with the JCVI since 2010 and has led its Secretariat since 2013, supporting the Committee in developing independent, evidence-based advice on vaccination and immunisation for the UK.
His work focuses on immunisation policy and the evaluation of vaccination strategies, with particular expertise in meningococcal vaccination. He contributes to national and international discussions on vaccine policy and has been involved in research evaluating the impact and cost-effectiveness of immunisation programmes.
